What type of files would you prefer for paper prints?
Simply Color Lab prefers that you submit your images as jpg’s when uploading your files. If you have a question about a file type, feel free to contact us for more information.
Paper print files should be a minimum of 200ppi at target dimensions.
Vivid Print files should be a minimum of 300ppi at target dimensions.

Do we scan negatives?
To ensure a high level quality print, Simply Color Lab only accepts digital files.

Do you offer color correction?
Color Correction is Free on Fine Art and Canvas prints and charged by the print for Vivid Prints. Press Printed Accordion Books and Super Mini Accordion Books are color corrected at a rate of 1.50 per panel. Press Printed Fine Art Books are color corrected at a rate of $1.50 per side. Our printing technicians can also retouch your photos and complete Photoshop work for a small fee.

Can I do my own color correcting?
If you choose to color correct your own images we highly recommend downloading and previewing your images using our soft proofing profiles on a correctly calibrated monitor. If you choose to have Simply Color Lab correct your file, our trained printing experts will print for best possible color and density. Color and density is subjective and prints may appear differently under varied lighting conditions. Reprints due to color and density will be reviewed on a per print basis and may, at our request, require a matched paper print to be supplied to insure satisfaction.

Please submit your file as a JPEG, TIFF or PNG at 300ppi, in sRGB, Adobe RGB (1998) or ProPhoto RGB color space.

Will my image be pixilated?

White Eco Board 3/16''

A Paper-faced memory foam board with a rigid foam center and SFI certified paper liners that is white on both sides. Made up of 15% recycled content and formulated with “bio resins” that cause the product to biodegrade in a landfill in 1-5 years into a harmless biomass compost. Conventional foam boards take 80 – 450 years to biodegrade.

Black Gator Board 3/16''

Black on both sides with a black foam core. It is often chosen because of its integrity, durability, and moisture resistance.

Double Weight Mat Board

A 1/20” thick mounting board, that is very cost effective. It has a buffered acid-free surface that is white on both sides.

Black Styrene

Styrene Mounts have no natural fibers in them, they are not affected by variations in moisture content in the environment and will remain stable (flat, and warp free) even when they are subjected to large changes in humidity; This keeps your prints looking great over time, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.

Lamination is available!

Laminating your prints is a great way to add additional protection. It is available on Mounted Prints, Framed Prints and Roundouts with Fine Art Luster Paper only.

Lamination will show as an option in ROES for Fine Art Luster Paper only. The surface of the laminate is matte & will appear more-matte than non-laminated Fine Art Luster Paper.

Important notes about Mounted Paper Prints

We do not recommend mat board, Eco board or Gator board (types of foam board) for displaying prints that will not be framed.  Exposure to moisture in the air will often cause the print to warp over time.  Due to this reason, we will not be able to reprint or replace mounted prints due to warping over time.

Mounted prints over 30×40 only available on Gator Board.
